eco crafting with toliet paper rolls

Yesterday we had about twenty minutes to kill before we could go out to eat. So how did I keep two hungry little girls entertained? Why with a little eco craft, of course! :)

We grabbed some empty paper towel rolls. I have a container of both upcycled toliet paper & paper towel rolls that I keep on hand. First, I cut the rolls into strips & then I let the girls brush glue onto a piece of colored paper.

They were instructed to place the strips wherever they pleased. My five year old wanted to make flowers (without seeing the below article) and of course the 22 month old wanted to be exactly like her sister.

When we came home from dinner they were all dry & ready to hang on our artwork hangers.  We thought it was cute to note that our 22 month old thought the extra paper strips worked great as bracelets too!

This is such a cute craft! It would be easy to take it one step further and paint the toilet paper rolls, or have fun with glitter and sequins.

Thanks for sharing!
